Job summary

RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to lead by example, empower team members, and ensure guests feel welcome on every shift.

You will drive store operations, coach staff, manage inventory and cash handling, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-paced, people-first environment with growth opportunities into General and Co-Managers roles. This role emphasizes accountability and clear communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred).
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others to do the same.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.
• High School Diploma or GED (in progress or completed).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks without frequent breaks.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.).

• Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift – Set the tone with a cheerful, can-do attitude that motivates your team, provide clear direction, step in to assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling, coach team members in real-time, and address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism.
