Job summary

RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc. is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a fast‑paced store team and deliver excellent guest service. You’ll mentor crew, oversee operations, cash handling, and inventory with a hands‑on leadership style.

You’ll develop future leaders, ensure food safety and cleanliness, and maintain a welcoming, high‑energy environment. If you’re proactive, reliable, and able to thrive under pressure, this is your role.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred).
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others to do the same.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift – set the tone and motivate the team, coach members in real-time, handle guest concerns with empathy.
• Drive Operational Excellence – ensure guest service, food safety, cleanliness, inventory, and key store processes.
• Model Communication & Accountability – relay updates from leadership and provide immediate feedback to drive results.
• Support a team culture of accountability, respect, and teamwork, stepping in during busy times as needed.
