Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to lead a fast-paced, guest-focused team on the assigned shift. You’ll set the tone, coach associates, and ensure smooth store operations from food service to cash handling.

With 2–3 years in retail or food service and at least 1 year in a supervisory role, you’ll drive guest satisfaction, uphold food safety standards, and help develop future leaders. RaceTrac offers growth, a benefits package, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (in progress or completed).
• 2–3 years of work experience in retail/restaurant/food service preferred.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervision experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.).

• Set the tone with a cheerful, can-do attitude that motivates your team.
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real-time, offering guidance during every shift.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Train and guide your team to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication.
• Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day.
• Relay important updates from the leadership team to shift associates.
• Monitor task completion and provide immediate feedback to drive results.
