Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a Winning Team on your shift and to set a cheerful, can-do tone that motivates the crew. You will oversee food service, stocking, cleaning, and cash handling while coaching teammates to meet standards for guest service and safety.

In this fast-paced, people-first environment you’ll drive store performance, practice strong communication, and develop future leaders through hands-on training and daily practice of RaceTrac’s core values.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred).
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks without frequent breaks.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.).
• High School Diploma or GED (in progress or completed).

Responsibilities

• Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift.

• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real-time, offering guidance and support during every shift.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when necessary.
• Train and guide your team to meet RaceTrac’s guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication.
• Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day.
• Model Communication & Accountability.
• Monitor task completion and provide feedback to drive results.
• Support a team culture rooted in accountability, respect, and teamwork.
