Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a Shift Manager to drive operations on a fast-paced shift. You will lead a team, coach staff, handle guest concerns with empathy, and ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met. This role emphasizes accountability, strong communication, and a positive, guest-first attitude.

You’ll collaborate with store leadership to optimize operations, manage inventory and cash handling, and support a culture of teamwork and growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or in progress.
• 2–3 years of work experience in retail, restaurant, or food service preferred.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift and set a cheerful, can-do tone.
• Coach team members in real time and provide guidance during shifts.
• Ensure guest concerns are handled with empathy and professionalism.
• Oversee inventory, cash handling, and store compliance.
• Train staff on food service, safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Communicate updates from leadership to shift associates and ensure alignment.
• Maintain high service levels during busy periods and handle promotions.
