Steak ’n Shake is seeking a Shift Manager in East Peoria, IL to lead daily restaurant operations with energy and accountability. You will set up the team for openings and closings, coach staff, and ensure fast, friendly service that meets brand standards.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and a focus on guest satisfaction in a high-volume setting. US work authorization and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum supervisory or restaurant management experience.
• US work authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability.
• Ensure strong openings and closings by setting up the team for success.
• Set the tone for the shift—motivate and coach team members for success.
• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service that exceeds guest expectations.
• Ensure brand standards are met - cleanliness, food safety, and quality.
• Handle opening and closing duties, including key-holder responsibilities.
• Count drawers, manage deposits, and finalize end-of-day reports.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment built on trust and respect.
• Step into any station as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
