McAlister’s Deli is hiring a Restaurant Shift Leader to support daily operations at our Prattville location. You will supervise front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensure food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety, and escalate issues to management as needed.

The role emphasizes scheduling, labor controls, guest satisfaction, cash handling, and training of new hires, with opportunities for advancement within McAlister’s Corporation. This is a non-exempt position in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year experience in food service; supervisory experience a plus but not required.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision during assigned shifts for FOH and BOH.
• Schedule staff to minimize overtime and manage daily labor costs.
• Monitor speed of service to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Handle guest comments and complaints and escalate when needed.
• Train new hires and existing staff on McAlister’s procedures.
• Open and close restaurant in absence of upper management; manage cash handling.
