Job summary

Wingstop is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations during the shift, lead staff, and uphold brand standards. You will train and coach team members, manage guest experience, and ensure food quality and safety while maintaining a positive work environment.

The role emphasizes proactive leadership, quick decision-making, and effective communication to deliver fast, friendly service and achieve performance goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma preferred but not required; some college coursework is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of customer-facing restaurant experience.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory/leadership role within the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred.
• Must have or be willing to obtain required food handler’s certification for respective state/local area.
• Must be able to fluently speak and understand English.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, and manage restaurant staff during the shift.
• Train new employees in procedures, guest experience, and company standards.
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback.
• Lead shifts by assigning tasks, managing breaks, and ensuring smooth hand-offs.
• Ensure restaurant is staffed by executing schedule created and posted by RGM.
• Enforce health & safety regulations and uniform standards.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Oversee cash handling and POS transactions during the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of FOH and dining area.
