Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking a Shift Leader in Texas who can guide a team on busy shifts, ensure food safety, and maintain top customer service. You will manage tasks, assist with cash handling, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Eligible candidates should have at least one year of supervisory experience, pass a Food Safety Certification, and enjoy problem-solving with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• Must meet Food Safety requirements and obtain Food Safety Certification.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
• Knife skills are a big plus; able to stand/walk 8–9 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts with task assignments and feedback.
• Ensure security procedures and back-of-house standards are followed.
• Count drawers and handle cash following procedures.
• Prepare quality finished products including sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts.
• Restock food lines and maintain cleanliness across tables, counters, floors, and kitchen.
