MFA Petroleum Company is seeking a Break Time Shift Leader to assist with daily store operations, customer service, and supervision during shifts at our Break Time Convenience Store.

The role involves managing cash, inventory, and promotions while ensuring food service and safety standards are met. Prior leadership experience is preferred; strong interpersonal and numeric skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Friendly, customer service-oriented person in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with transportation to bank.
• Flexible availability including all shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Able to perform mathematical calculations, make change, and complete shift reports.
• Willingness to learn new concepts and use computer equipment.
• Physical ability to move inventory in coolers/freezer and stand up to 9 hours.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet customers, and support peak hours; handle complaints quickly and courteously.
• Assist in daily store operations: reporting, banking, inventory, bookkeeping, fuel management, maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Assist in merchandising, pricing, promotions, stocking, and vendor check-ins; encourage sales.
• Supervise shifts in manager’s absence; train new employees; contribute to performance evaluations.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
• Understand store finances; control cash shortages and expenses; participate in audits; help meet sales goals.
• Promote food service and safety; assist with recruiting and training; adhere to policies.
• Operate POS systems and devices; perform math to make change and complete shift reports.
• Adhere to company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
