Job summary

BD is seeking an on-site Production Lead to supervise line operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in USA CT - Canaan. You will drive safety, quality, and personnel development while coordinating with quality, maintenance, and other support teams to keep production running smoothly.

You will manage staffing, training, daily tier-1 meetings, and issue resolution, ensuring adherence to company policies and documenting continuous improvement efforts on the line.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Promptly address safety issues or incidents.
• Manage attendance, vacation, PTO and performance management.
• Staffing and training plans for assigned shift.
• Lead Tier 1 production meetings and align with LCO teams.
• Ensure fair application of policies and resolve employee relations concerns.
• Oversee material management, work order setup, reconciliation and cycle counts.
• Conduct daily batch reviews and ensure quality checks and documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance and other support roles.
• Spend 100% on the production floor except for meetings or performance conversations.
