Job summary

Jersey Mike’s Subs is seeking an Experienced Shift Leader for the day shift to help keep a busy Jersey Mike’s running smoothly and to lead the team with outstanding customer service. This is a leadership role requiring restaurant experience and the ability to coach and motivate staff.

The right candidate will be dependable, comfortable taking charge, and able to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Restaurant experience is required.
• Leadership roles such as shift leader or supervisor preferred.
• Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts consistently.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to coach and hold team members accountable.
• Must understand the importance of food safety and restaurant cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate team members during daily shifts
• Provide friendly, fast, and accurate customer service
• Ensure sandwiches and other menu items are prepared according to Jersey Mike’s standards
• Assign tasks and keep team members productive throughout the shift
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe restaurant
• Handle opening and/or closing shift responsibilities
• Assist with cash handling and register procedures
• Monitor food quality, portioning, and product freshness
• Help train and develop new and existing team members
• Handle customer concerns professionally
• Support management with inventory, prep, and daily restaurant operations
• Set the example for teamwork, urgency, cleanliness, and hospitality
