Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our Fort Lee travel plaza in New Jersey to lead shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety.

You will supervise the team during peak hours, coordinate with managers, and ensure a clean, welcoming plaza. You will train new team members, monitor cash handling, and support opening/closing procedures while keeping products stocked and customers engaged.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Demonstrates leadership and ability to guide a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza offerings and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or concerns.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
