Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Leader to focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, and teamwork. You will cascade training to Sandwich Artists, oversee inventory control, ensure equipment works, and complete necessary paperwork.

This role offers Full Time/Part Time opportunities with day, evening, and weekend shifts depending on location. Compensation is to be discussed during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of restaurant experience.
• Customer service oriented and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience.
• Ensure food is prepared and served.
• Keep restaurant clean and functional.
• Train Sandwich Artists on responsibilities.
• Perform inventory control and paperwork.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Leader will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
