Job summary

True North stores seek an Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, lead the team, and ensure a fast, friendly guest experience. You will manage staffing, training, scheduling, and adherence to cash controls and safety policies while maintaining inventory and store appearance.

In this role, you will act as the manager-on-duty during shifts, coordinate with the Store Manager, and drive customer satisfaction through effective supervision and coaching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior customer service or cashier experience preferred.
• Experience supervising others is a plus.
• Basic math and good communication skills.
• Ability to operate POS systems and maintain cash controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide active leadership on the floor during shifts and support team members in real time.
• Deliver prompt, courteous customer service and resolve issues per policy.
• Process transactions accurately using POS systems and ensure transaction accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training to meet daily operational needs.
• Act as manager-on-duty during shifts when Store Manager is unavailable and direct daily operations.
