Shift Leader (1st shift)

Reporting Line

This position reports to the Manufacturing Unit Manager.

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the safety of team members at all times and participate in safety initiatives.
  2. Coordinate schedules with supervisors and Planner/Scheduler.
  3. Monitor Work-in-Process (WIP).
  4. Audit processes in the work area, including safety, methods, dispatch, efficiency, utilization, training, and scrap.
  5. Communicate and coordinate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Planner/Scheduler.
  6. Assist in analyzing and resolving production issues.
  7. Ensure operators have the necessary tools, equipment, and materials, and reassign resources as needed.
  8. Provide accurate and timely reports and documentation, including OEE, production records, and inventory transactions.
  9. Serve as the primary trainer for team members, completing Job Instructions and using best practices in training.
  10. Relieve operators during breaks and set up and operate equipment at targeted efficiency levels.
  11. Participate in EHS and 5S audits and address operational deficiencies.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; College degree preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing experience.
  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Computer literacy.
