A Shift Leader supports the management team in running the location. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coaching staff to deliver excellent customer service
• Producing high-quality food
• Delivering the Jersey Mike's experience
• Cash handling
• Following the Learning Management System Training Program
• Developing others for career growth
• Enforcing policies and procedures
• Participating in marketing initiatives
• Building sales
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation
• Being certified in all four restaurant positions
• Effective communication
• Sense of urgency

A Shift Leader is expected to:

• Move or transport up to 50 lbs without assistance, unless a medical condition is documented; accommodations are covered by the ADA or a temporary doctor's note
• Work 38-40 hours per week
• Have reliable transportation
• Communicate any issues to the GM/AGM/DM
• Lead by example in food quality, customer interaction, and appearance

Additional responsibilities include:

• Create food consistent with Jersey Mike's high standards
• Maintain a noticeably cleaner restaurant
• Work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
• Multitask with a sense of urgency
• Interface with customers to provide an exceptional experience
• Understand accountability and integrity
• Key Holder duties
• Perform opening and closing tasks
• Bake bread and perform all prep tasks
• Manage and lead a crew of 2-5 people
• Proficient in slicing

Qualifications for the job include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year QSR experience preferred
• Must be 18+ to operate the slicer
• Serve Safe Food Handler Certification
• Reliable transportation
