Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes is seeking a Shift Leader to work with the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager to drive sales, deliver high-quality cakes, and uphold a warm guest-centric environment. You will share in team leadership and help translate NbC culture across the shop floor.

You will train and coach team members, ensure daily operations meet NbC standards, and contribute to a welcoming, joyful guest experience while supporting promotions and growth opportunities within the brand.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant or food service environment.
• Experience in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Ability to coach others and drive productivity.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager with day-to-day operations and sales growth.
• Coach and train team members to deliver a superior guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with NbC standards and quality controls.
• Collaborate with management on scheduling and operational processes.

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Shift Leader works alongside the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager and team members to create the highest-quality cakes, a warm, welcoming environment, and superior guest experience. The Shift Leader shares in team leadership and collaborates with the bakery management in driving sales and profitability, executing day-to-day responsibilities and ensuring that all aspects of the bakery operation comply with NbC standards. And as part of this successful and growing brand, there is no shortage of opportunities for promotion. This role serves as an important carrier of the NbC culture to reinforce core values and bring our brand to life for our team members and guests.

Education, Certifications And Work Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant or food service environment, preferably in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success creating a superior guest experience and coaching others to do the same, training new team members, directing the work of others, and achieving productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies.

Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
