Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes in San Diego is seeking a Shift Leader to work with the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager to deliver high-quality cakes and a welcoming guest experience.

You will help drive sales and profitability, oversee day-to-day duties, and reinforce NbC culture while coaching team members and promoting a positive, productive bakery environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1–3 years of guest-facing experience in retail, restaurant or food service, preferably in a lead role.
• Proven success delivering a superior guest experience and coaching others.
• Basic proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook; comfortable learning new tech.
• Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Assist Bakery Manager and collaborate with leadership on daily operations.

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Shift Leader works alongside the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager and team members to create the highest-quality cakes, a warm, welcoming environment, and superior guest experience. The Shift Leader shares in team leadership and collaborates with the bakery management in driving sales and profitability, executing day-to-day responsibilities and ensuring that all aspects of the bakery operation comply with NbC standards. And as part of this successful and growing brand, there is no shortage of opportunities for promotion. This role serves as an important carrier of the NbC culture to reinforce core values and bring our brand to life for our team members and guests.

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant or food service environment, preferably in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success creating a superior guest experience and coaching others to do the same, training new team members, directing the work of others, and achieving productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies.
• Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
