Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes #173 in Westerville, OH is seeking a Shift Leader to support the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager in delivering high-quality cakes, a welcoming guest experience, and bakery-wide excellence.

You will lead and coach team members, assist in day-to-day operations, and help drive guest satisfaction and productivity while upholding NbC standards. Flexibility with shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years guest-facing experience in retail, restaurant, or food service, preferably in a lead role.
• Demonstrated ability to coach others, train new team members, and meet productivity goals.

Responsibilities

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Shift Leader works alongside the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager and team members to create the highest-quality cakes, a warm, welcoming environment, and superior guest experience. The Shift Leader shares in team leadership and collaborates with the bakery management in driving sales and profitability, executing day-to-day responsibilities and ensuring that all aspects of the bakery operation comply with NbC standards. And as part of this successful and growing brand, there is no shortage of opportunities for promotion. This role serves as an important carrier of the NbC culture to reinforce core values and bring our brand to life for our team members and guests.

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant or food service environment, preferably in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success creating a superior guest experience and coaching others to do the same, training new team members, directing the work of others, and achieving productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies.
• Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
