The Shift Leader runs shifts at an Arby's restaurant and assists the General Manager (GM) and Assistant Manager (AM) in managing overall operations. Responsibilities include staffing, training, record keeping, guest service, product quality, cleanliness, safety, regulatory compliance, and performance on financial and operational measures. Shift Leaders typically work 10-hour shifts, standing most of the time. The position requires lifting 25 to 40 pounds and involves pushing, pulling, stretching, reaching, bending, and continuous use of fingers and wrists. Effective and professional communication—both verbal and written—with employees, supervisors, guests, and vendors is essential. The Shift Leader must also accurately complete manual and computer-based paperwork and monitor quality, service, cleanliness, and safety standards.
