Job summary

New Haven in Saratoga Springs, UT is seeking dedicated mentors to support adolescent girls in a trauma-informed, relationship-based residential setting. The role offers on-site work with an hourly pay rate of $23 and a full-time schedule (35+ hours weekly).

You will lead shift operations, onboard staff, and provide ongoing coaching to elevate team performance while ensuring a safe, supportive environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+, high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license with clean record, Utah background check.
• Commitment to minimum 8 months and obtain Food Handler’s Permit before starting.
• Policy familiarity with company procedures and mentor responsibilities.
• Student-centered knowledge of behavioral challenges and medication protocols.
• Leadership-driven with strong teaching, motivation, and team-building skills.
• Collaborates with therapists and nurses as part of interdisciplinary teams.
• Calm under pressure; able to manage crises and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Purpose: supervise and support Mentors during shifts, recognizing standout performance and fostering a positive team culture.
• Strategic Delegation: assign responsibilities to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Talent Onboarding: partner with HR to identify, hire, and onboard candidates for long-term success.
• Thorough Orientation: guide new hires through structured, checklist-based orientation.
• Continuous Development: facilitate weekly training and ongoing coaching to improve performance.
• Performance Oversight: monitor staff performance and conduct quarterly reviews.
• Accountability & Discipline: address performance issues with structured protocols.
• Clear Communication: share shift updates during handoffs for continuity.
• Team Representation: advocate for your shift during interdisciplinary meetings.
• Safety Leadership: conduct quarterly drills and model best practices.
