Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is seeking a part-time Shift Lead in Hickory, Alabama to deliver fast, friendly customer service and help run daily store operations. You will guide the team, assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions, and operate the cash register while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

You will work closely with the Store Manager and have opportunities for advancement. Murphy USA offers daily pay, health coverage, a 401(k) with company matches, PTO accrual, and education

Qualifications

Must be 18+ years of age; age requirements vary by state (e.g., 21 in AL).
High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
Requires at least 3 months of cashier experience.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
Respond to and resolve customer requests and concerns.
Assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
Operate cash register.
Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Support Store Manager in all store operations.
Lead the team to meet store performance goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
In absence of management, back up daily/monthly paperwork, inventory, and training tasks.
