Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is hiring for a part-time Shift Lead in Hickory, NC. You will provide prompt, courteous customer service, handle purchases and fuel transactions, operate the cash register, and help maintain store standards.

Expect responsibilities that include supporting the Store Manager, leading team efforts to hit performance goals, and handling daily tasks such as paperwork and training. Growth opportunities exist with promotion potential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age (21+ in some states) with preference for availability and reliability.
• High school diploma or GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand, bend, reach, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experiences.
• Respond to and resolve customer requests and concerns.
• Assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operate the cash register.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment.
• Support the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Lead the team to meet store performance goals.
• Perform daily/monthly paperwork and train new employees when needed.
