Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a store associate to open and close the store in the absence of management, handle cash tasks, and ensure the floor and stock room are ready for business.

You will engage customers, resolve issues, and model outstanding service while supporting inventory and pricing accuracy. The role requires at least one year of leadership or key holder experience, fluent English, and a state-appropriate PTCB certification or pharmacy license.

Qualifications

• One year of leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of management, including cash handling and ensuring floor/stock room readiness.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Hold store keys to open/close without management and oversee deliveries.
• Register all sales, record scanning errors, price verifications, and voids on the cash register.
• Assist with inventory counts, pricing changes, and signage to support pricing and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with state/local laws regarding regulated products (alcohol/tobacco).
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance and housekeeping of the store.
