Job summary

NEXXTA, a U.S.-based manufacturing partner, is seeking a Shift Lead to assist in daily production, startup/shutdown of presses and equipment, and to back up multiple roles on the manufacturing floor.

You will monitor quality controls, review production schedules, support continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen, ensure adherence to ISO/IATF 16949, and maintain safe, efficient operations. A High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years related experience are required.

• Must be dependable and have excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the following functions under general supervision of the Shift Supervisor.
• Performs backup duties in multiple roles to cover for absences or vacations.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance policies and ISO/IATF 16949; assist in developing and maintaining work instructions and SOPs.
• Audit shop floor reporting to sustain inventory control; review timekeeping and production reports for accuracy. Ensure transactional discipline and complete ERP transactions.
• Develop short-term procedures within the department to facilitate continuous production.
• Check production schedules to ensure product availability and optimal efficiency; coordinate necessary changes.
• Monitor SPC data and quality concerns and chart them per QC instructions to maintain production efficiency.
• Inform personnel of production schedule constraints to maintain open communication.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and promote a teachable approach.
• Complete 5S, LPA, Safety, Scrap audits and other required checks.
• Ensure operator PMs are completed; perform adjustments/repairs at floor level.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
