Job summary

Shift Lead, Licensed Cosmetologist at Madison Reed’s Hair Color Bar. This role is full time, reporting to the Manager, with weekend and holiday availability required to meet business needs.

Compensation includes base hourly pay, commissions, and tips. Potential earnings for this location range from $45.50 - $47.50 per hour, with actual pay contingent on bar performance, tenure, and time behind the chair.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state where applying.
• 1+ year of experience as a colorist behind the chair in a salon setting.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a customer facing environment.
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop leadership to provide top-tier guest experience aligned with our values.
• Lead by example through sales and service behaviors and resolve guest issues.
• Support front-of-house and back-of-house operations and assist guests with retail orders.
• Provide consultations and all services on the menu (including shampooing, styling, and chemical services).
• Step in as manager-on-duty to foster a positive, collaborative environment and coach the team.
