Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Shift Lead, Licensed Cosmetologist, to support the Hair Color Bar, oversee guest flow from arrival to departure, and uphold service quality across the team.

The role is full-time with weekend/holiday availability; compensation includes base pay, commissions, and tips, with earnings for this location projected at $45–$47 per hour. Growth toward managing the Hair Color Bar is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state where applying.
• 1+ year of colorist behind-the-chair experience.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced retail/salon setting.
• Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop leadership skills to deliver top-tier guest experiences aligned with company values.
• Lead by example with sales and service behaviors in all guest interactions.
• Support front-of-house and back-of-house operations and merchandising.
• Provide consultations and all services on the menu, including chemical services.
• Step in as manager-on-duty to foster teamwork and coaching.
• Contribute to monthly sales goals and KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Ensure store meets merchandising, inventory, and asset security standards.
