Job summary

Leslie’s, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead 1 in Charleston to support store performance, customer service standards, and merchandising objectives. You will learn best practices to train and develop a team and lead by example, with pay between $15.00 and $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the General Manager on store operations, increasing sales, ensuring safety, and managing opening/closing duties. Prior retail leadership and a willingness to train are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience leading a team (preferred).
• A valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to achieve placement in the succession program.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with computers.
• The ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to learn store operations, sales plans, payroll and expenses.
• Conducted water analysis and mechanical repairs.
• Increase commercial and residential sales and customer counts.
• Ensure the team follows all safety protocols.
• Identify new talent to join the team.
• Maintain a clean, well merchandised, and welcoming environment.
• Assist with merchandising and inventory control.
• Opening and closing store responsibilities, including daily bank deposit.
