Chuze Fitness in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking a Lead 1 to support a vibrant member experience and lead by example in kindness and excellence across operations.

You will oversee front desk duties, member interactions, and daily club standards while coaching staff, handling shift logistics, and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for all guests.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Experience leading shifts or teams.
• Ability to work varied hours, weekends, and opening/closing shifts.
• English proficiency and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and uphold leadership standards.
• Perform daily cleaning to keep gym pristine.
• Manage front desk tasks: sign-ups, POS, smoothies where applicable.
• Train front desk staff and follow LMS and policies.
• Run daily shift tasks: break lunches, assign cleaning, open/close.
• Assist member inquiries and escalate issues with management.
• Handle club emails, reports, inventory and admin tasks.
• Attend regular team meetings.

Pay Range

$18.96 – $21.10 / hour

Job Description

As a Lead 1, you will play a pivotal role in supporting your team by ensuring a vibrant, professional, and efficient work environment. You will lead by example, setting the standard for kindness and excellence in every aspect of our operations, with a strong focus on enhancing the member experience.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain Chuze standards by welcoming and interacting with all members
• Complete daily cleaning tasks and ensure gym presentation is always clean
• Assist in all aspects of front desk operations, including membership sign‑ups, retail presentation, amenities, answering phones, point-of-sale transactions, and making smoothies, if applicable
• Train all front desk employees and maintain knowledge of best practices and policies found in in‑person coaching, Learning Management System (LMS) paths, and Harassment Prevention training
• Support running daily shift operations such as breaking employees for lunches, delegating and following up on cleaning responsibilities, and successfully completing opening and closing responsibilities
• Support in troubleshooting member inquiries and partner with management for escalated concerns
• Assist in administrative tasks such as member‑management‑software reports, inventory counts and managing club email
• Attend and participate in regularly scheduled team meetings

Physical Requirements

• Able to read, write, and speak clearly in English
• Touring the gym: walking and climbing stairs
• Bending, kneeling, and repetitive arm movement
• Standing for long periods

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

Qualifications

Experience

• 1 year customer service experience
• Previous experience running shifts or leading a team

Preferred
