Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Supervisor to lead safe, efficient operations on an assigned shift at the Byhalia Distribution Center. You will direct frontline leaders and hourly associates, monitor metrics, and ensure timely receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.

You will collaborate across functions to improve service, cost, quality, and employee engagement while maintaining safety and compliance. This onsite role offers growth through continuous improvement and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressive experience in distribution, fulfillment, logistics, warehousing, or related operations.
• Three or more years leading employees in a high-volume operation including staffing, safety, and results.
• Ability to work second shift (4:00 PM - 12:30 AM or 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM).
• Experience guiding frontline supervisors and coordinating across functions.
• Working knowledge of WMS, labor reporting, and inventory controls.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for inbound, outbound, inventory control, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping.
• Direct and coach supervisors, establish expectations, provide feedback, and reinforce accountability.
• Monitor safety, productivity, quality, cost, inventory, and attendance metrics; take corrective action.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings, reviews, and handoffs communicating safety priorities and workload.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality requirements, security controls, and regulations.
• Promote safety culture, complete observations, investigate incidents, and ensure corrective actions.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Support system changes; communicate rationale and reinforce adoption.
• Develop bench strength via cross-training and development plans for supervisors.
• Serve as senior operational leader on shift when designated and coordinate urgent responses.
• Present performance updates, root-cause findings, recovery plans, and improvements to site leadership.
