Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in Tallahassee, FL to lead daily operations and motivate a fast-paced team. You will jump into cashier, grill, prep, and dining room roles, ensuring quick, accurate service and an outstanding guest experience on every shift.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in food service or hospitality with strong communication and leadership in a high-energy setting. Applicants should be comfortable with POS systems and basic math, and eager to grow into

Qualifications

1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred)
A team-first mindset with strong communications skills
Someone who leads by doing—not just directing
Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Basic math and comfort using POS systems

Responsibilities

Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site
Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small
Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time
Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best
Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture
Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards
Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports
