Job summary

Five Guys Operations LLC is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily restaurant operations and set the tone for the team. You’ll lead by example, cover multiple roles, and ensure every guest leaves impressed.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in restaurant or hospitality with leadership potential, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. POS familiarity and basic math are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
