Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in Gainesville, FL. You’ll lead by example on fast-paced shifts, work side-by-side with a diverse team, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied.

You’ll train, coach, and motivate crew while upholding brand standards and safety protocols. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour plus tips and bonus, with opportunities to grow into Assistant and General Manager roles as you gain leadership experience in a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in restaurant, retail, or hospitality; leadership preferred.
• Ability to lead by doing and communicate clearly under pressure.
• Basic math skills and experience with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn't on site.
• Work across cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and guest experience.
• Coach and motivate crew to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a positive culture.
• Keep restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
