Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader to act as a hands-on, on-site leader on each shift, setting the tone and ensuring great guest experiences. You’ll lead by example, move between roles in a fast-paced kitchen and dining room, coach teammates, and help train new hires while upholding brand standards.

The position starts at $16.00 per hour plus tips and bonus, with real growth opportunities within a dynamic, team‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communications skills.
• Leads by doing—not just directing.
• Stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and guest satisfaction.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
