Job summary

Pilot Company in Chesterton, IN, is seeking a Guest Services associate to lead a shift of 1-2 cashiers, process cash, credit, and debit transactions, and ensure quality service to every guest.

Responsibilities include end-of-shift reports, adherence to sale restrictions, maintaining a clean area, promoting products, and supporting travel center operations. Pay starts at $12.60–$17.85 per hour with comprehensive benefits and weekly pay.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned
