Job summary

Recovery Sports Grill Greenbush LLC in Rensselaer, NY is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor to support restaurant operations, serve customers, and assist managers in their absence.

The role requires serving or bartending experience, 18+ age, and certifications in Serve Safe and TIPS, with the ability to work upslope shifts and handle cash using a POS system.

Competitive hourly pay range of $20.00–$23.00 plus benefits, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Serve Safe certification complete.
• TIPS certification complete.
• Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Previous serving and/or bartending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist managers in all phases of restaurant operations including operation in absence of manager.
• Ensure prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines.
• Ensure that all food and products are prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
• Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation.
• Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
• Enforce alcohol awareness on a shift to shift basis.
• Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
• Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures.
• Corrects unsafe practices or conditions.
• Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
