Job summary

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is seeking an experienced Hourly Supervisor to lead by example and deliver an exceptional guest and crew experience. This hands-on role supports management with shift operations, service standards, training, and accountability while developing leadership skills for future advancement.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in a restaurant, strong communication, and a positive, team-first leadership approach.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience; 3–5+ years.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Positive, approachable, and accountable leadership style.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Team-first attitude and willingness to work beside the crew.
• Reliability, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Genuine commitment to hospitality and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift flow, delegate tasks, and set crew up for success.
• Lead by example in guest service and team communication.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Assist managers with opening/closing, shift checklists, cleanliness, and organization.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for crew during shifts.
• Uphold Mex 1’s standards for food, service and vibe.
• Create a fun, positive, and welcoming environment.
