Job summary

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is seeking an experienced Hourly Supervisor to lead by example and deliver a great guest and crew experience. This hands-on role supports management with shift operations, training, and accountability while developing leadership skills for future growth.

You’ll oversee shift flow, delegate tasks, and ensure high service standards. A positive, proactive, team-first approach and strong communication are essential in a fast-paced restaurant environment in Charleston, WV.

Qualifications

• Restaurant experience required; 3–5+ years.
• Proven leadership with guest service focus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Team-first attitude with reliability and discretion.
• Genuine commitment to hospitality and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift flow and delegate tasks to set up the crew for success.
• Lead by example in guest service and team communication.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Assist managers with opening/closing procedures and shift checklists, cleanliness, and organization.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for the crew during shifts.
• Uphold Mex 1’s standards for food, service and vibe.
• Help create a fun, positive, and welcoming environment.
