Job summary

University of Kentucky is seeking a Shift Manager for its off-campus Lexington entertainment center. The role manages a team, ensures a great guest experience, and keeps daily operations running smoothly across shifts. Part-time or full-time availability is requested.

You will lead and train staff, handle guest questions, and coordinate across front counter, attractions, bar, and kitchen areas to maintain high service quality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Leading, supporting, and directing employees during each shift.
• Create a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle guest questions or concerns.
• Oversee daily operations flow and adjust priorities as needed.
• Assist with birthday parties, group events, and guest experiences.
• Support operations at the front counter, attractions, bar, kitchen, or other areas as needed.
• Train and coach employees and clarify expectations.
• Ensure staff complete responsibilities and follow policies.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Handling opening and closing responsibilities
• Manage cash, payments, and other shift-related admin tasks.
• Address problems as they arise and find solutions.
• Communicate important information and updates to management.
• Step in wherever needed to support the team and guest experience.
