Job summary

University of Kentucky is seeking a Shift Manager for its off-campus Lexington entertainment center. The role manages a team, ensures a great guest experience, and keeps daily operations running smoothly across shifts. Part-time or full-time availability is requested.

You will lead and train staff, handle guest questions, and coordinate across front counter, attractions, bar, and kitchen areas to maintain high service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff complete responsibilities and follow policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety.
  • Handling opening and closing responsibilities
  • Manage cash, payments, and other shift-related admin tasks.
  • Address problems as they arise and find solutions.
  • Communicate important information and updates to management.
  • Step in wherever needed to support the team and guest experience.

Beneficial but not required:



  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience

  • Experience working in hospitality, entertainment, restaurants, retail, or another customer-focused environment

  • Experience managing or leading a team of employees

  • Experience with cash handling and opening/closing procedures

  • Experience handling customer complaints or resolving difficult situations

  • Knowledge or experience with food, beverage, or bar operations

  • Experience working with parties, events, or large groups


20+ (Part-Time) to 35+ (Full-Time)



  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

The Shift Manager plays a key role in the daily operation of our entertainment center. This person is responsible for helping lead the team, ensuring guests have a great experience, and making sure the facility runs smoothly throughout each shift. Looking for part time or full time.

  • Addressing problems as they arise and using good judgment to find solutions

  • Communicating important information, concerns, and updates to the management team

  • Stepping in wherever needed to support the team and ensure a great guest experience
