Job summary

Save-A-Lot, Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive sales growth, lead a courteous team, and uphold store standards. You will train, mentor and coach staff, assist with weekly scheduling, and cover opening/closing duties to maintain a world-class shopping experience.

The role focuses on operational excellence, inventory management, and adherence to safety policies in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of management experience required.
• Experience scheduling and budgeting preferred.
• Bilingual an advantage in certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, coaching and development to store team members in relation to their tasks, duties, role requirements and performance standards
• Creates a safe and positive store environment for both team members and customers
• Assists store manager with creating the weekly schedule for team members
• Leads the store in the store manager’s absence to include opening and closing the store
• Maintains a high standard of operation for customers with full, fresh, clean and friendly conditions
• Analyzes sales data and trends to maintain correct ordering and inventory procedures
• Responsible for merchandising program execution, all plan-o-grams, displays, price signs, shelf tags and loyalty programs
• Manages inventory levels to meet company standards and ensure quality, freshness, and rotation
