Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in Edgewater, NJ is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements. You will train new team members and monitor cash handling compliance on a daily basis.

The role involves operating the POS, assisting in kitchen tasks, and maintaining clean, organized workstations while actively cross-selling products. Flexible schedule availability is required.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating and storage.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or concerns.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
