Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is hiring for a part-time Shift Lead to deliver excellent customer service, manage checkout operations, and assist in daily store responsibilities.

You will help lead the team to meet performance targets while ensuring accurate transactions and a safe, clean store environment. The role requires 18+ (21+ in some states), a high school diploma or equivalent, cashier experience, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Minimum 3 months of cashier experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Respond to and resolve customer requests and concerns.
• Assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operate cash register.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise are available for customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Support the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Help lead the team to exceed store performance goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• In the absence of management, provide backup duties including paperwork, video review, inventory ordering, and training new employees.
