Job summary

Murphy USA is hiring for a part-time Shift Lead position at our Texas locations. You will supervise daily store operations, assist the Store Manager, and lead a team to meet sales and service goals.

The role requires cash handling, customer interaction, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A GED or high school diploma is required, with prior cashier experience and reliable transportation. This is a great stepping stone to advanced store leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Responding to and resolving customer’s requests and concerns.
• Operating cash register.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store’s performance goals and objectives.
• Performing job related duties as assigned.
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees.
