Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is hiring part-time Shift Leads to empower a fast-paced convenience-store environment across multiple states. You will lead a small team, ensure excellent customer experiences, handle cash, and assist the Store Manager with daily operations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to store performance. This position offers growth from Shift Lead to Assistant Manager with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age (age requirements vary by state).
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Responding to and resolving customer's requests and concerns.
• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operating cash register.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance goals and objectives.
• Performing job related duties as assigned.
• Backup duties in the absence of management including paperwork, problem resolution, inventory and training new employees.
