Job summary

Mondelēz International in Naperville, IL, is seeking a Shift Leader to captain a high-speed production line. You will lead daily start-ups, ensure GMP/HACCP compliance, and drive safety, quality, and throughput on the floor.

You will coach a team (union or non-union), partner with maintenance, use Lean/TPM tools, and deliver cost improvements. Salary ranges from $61,800 to $84,975 plus bonus; benefits include health, retirement, paid leave.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Ops/Engineering/Food Sci/Business.
1–3 years in high-speed manufacturing (food/Bev/CPG) or frontline team leadership.
GMPs, HACCP, sanitation basics; Lean/TPM (5S, AM/PM, SMED).
Microsoft 365 proficiency; SAP experience a plus.
Clear communicator, calm under pressure, root-cause mindset.

Responsibilities

Safety first, always: run daily start-ups, hazard hunts, LOTO verification, audit readiness.
Maintain legendary quality: CCP checks, metal/X-ray, weight, allergen control, containment and root-cause fixes.
Throughput leadership: lead huddles, manage hourly boards, drive OEE, yield, and changeover time with Lean/TPM tools.
People leadership: coach a team (union or non-union), set expectations, develop skills.
Maintenance partnership: work with maintenance on Autonomous and Planned maintenance.
Continuous improvement: lead mini‑Kaizens, apply 5-Why/fishbone, embed SOPs and One‑Point Lessons.
