Job summary

New City Microcreamery is seeking a full-time Shift Lead and Events Coordinator to oversee Front of House, open/close the shop, manage transactions, and mentor staff. You will lead guest experiences, maintain the shop’s allure, and drive profitable operations while coordinating catering events and weddings.

Daytime shifts are available, with 4–6 shifts per week (32–40 hours). Starting pay is $17/hour plus tips, with opportunities to contribute to growth as the team expands.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Mentoring and training prowess.
• Communication skills for conflict resolution and team direction.
• Strong attention to detail when using systems like Restaurant365, Toast, and Paycom.

Responsibilities

• Supervising Front of House operations.
• Opening and closing the shop.
• Handling transactions and deposits.
• Mentoring scoopers.
• Creating waffle cone masterpieces.
• Maintaining the shop's allure.
• Engaging guests and making them feel cherished.
• Protecting assets and maximizing profit.
• Upselling and adding value to guest experience.
• Assist operations manager in booking catering events.
• Negotiate pricing and offerings for catering.
• Direct catering events to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Cater Weddings, Graduations, Corporate events, and more.
• Provide exceptional service for life's special moments.
