Job summary

White Rhino Coffee is seeking a Shift Lead to provide leadership to the shop team and ensure baristas deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will run the shift, guide staff, handle customer issues, and supervise all shop operations during your shift.

Must be 18+, available for 4–5 shifts weekly including weekends, and attend monthly staff meetings. A Food Manager certification within 30 days of hire is required; previous barista experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work 4–5 shifts per week, including weekends.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Commitment to punctuality and performance standards.
• Strong leadership capability.
• Excellent customer service and self-awareness.

Responsibilities

• Hold shift huddles before the shift begins.
• Supervise all staff during the shift and provide resources as needed.
• Assist with implementing and enforcing shop procedures.
• Resolve escalated customer issues and complaints.
• Count cash in and out and handle cash drops.
• Relay important information to the Shop Manager as needed.
• Count inventory as needed and assist with placing orders.
