Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. in Boston seeks a hands-on Shift Lead to guide daily cafe operations with warmth and urgency. You’ll lead on the floor, craft exceptional coffee and matcha, and mentor teammates to uphold quality and service.

This role opens opportunities to grow with the brand in a fast-paced environment. As a Shift Lead, you’ll open and close the store, ensure smooth operations, and proactively address customer concerns while driving sales and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a customer service leadership position, preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods.
• Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days, and must work 2 peak days.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. with I-9/E-Verify process.
• Barista accreditation and training program.

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers.
• Train new employees to succeed, ensuring adherence to recipes and processes.
• Open and close the store safely, following checklists.
• Handle and resolve customer issues.
• Lead and support store initiatives to drive foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and profitability.
